What started as a prayer meeting attended by 6 people has now grown to a group of about 70 people regularly attending Sunday morning services in the suburb of Northriding, Johannesburg. Pastor Chad's passion is simply teaching the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, and book by book. Pastor Chad got saved in 1997 at Calvary Chapel of Downey and immediately desired to serve in ministry, first as an usher and also going to the Men's Ministry Bible Studies. In 2000 he and Heather married and got involved in the Jr. High ministry at Calvary Chapel of Downey. In 2001 they felt the call to attend First Love Calvary Chapel in Whittier and was asked to step in to the roll of assistant pastor, where he continued for 5 years. In those 5 years, he was head of Administration and taught in the Young Adults Study, Jr. High Youth Group and filled in various nights for Pastor John Schaffer. In 2006, Pastor Chad heard the call to South Africa and began to make preparations for the move in January 2007. |
